Yuva organizes 3-day mushroom production training for women in Radur, Potka


Youth Unity For Voluntary Action (Yuva), Jamshedpur organized a 3-day mushroom production training for women farmers in Radur village of Potka.
The training for mushroom production was imparted by Ganesh Das of TRCSC. Mr. Das said that mushroom production can go a long way in helping women increase their income.
He said that it would serve as a viable option for the rural women to get additional income for the benefit of their families. He said it would also provide their families better nutrition and quality food.
In all, 29 women took part in the training programme.

Yuva has been working for empowerment of women farmers in Potka block of East Singhbhum district in the state of Jharkhand. This effort is being made with the help of Global Green Grant.
Under this initiative women farmers would be provided help to adopt advanced farming techniques and take to animal husbandry, earthworm manure, kitchen gardening etc.

Those who worked hard to make the training programme a big success included Arup Kumar Mandal, Gautam Mandal and Abhishek Sardar.
