Yuva Jamshedpur organizes blood donation camp on its foundation day

Yuva Jamshedpur organized a blood donation camp at Yuva Library in Makdampur, Parsudih on the occasion of its foundation day, which is also birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand.

Its young member Md Wahid set a record by donating blood on the very next day of having completed 18 years of age.

The newly elected district councilor Rakhi Guha, mukhiya of Kalimati Mr. Umesh, Ward member Chanchal Shrivastava and Asgari Begam were also felicitated on the occasion.

The guest of honour of the programme were well-known social activist Mrs Anjali Bose and Harvansh Lal Sriastava.
In the beginning of the programme, Barnali Chakraborty, secretary, Yuva threw light on the development programmes being run by Yuva. She said that the organization that began its work from Madkampur is now active in all three districts of Singhbhum. She said that more than 500 youths have carved out a successful career after associating themselves with Yuva and by using the excellent library and environment that its library offers.

The programme was conducted by the founder member of Yuva, Mr. Arbind Tiwary and treasurer Mr. Narendra Kumar.

The president of the organization, Mr. Barun Kumar proposed the vote of thanks.

Those who played an important role in making the blood donation programme a grand success included Avinash Kumar, Amit Sahu, Aman Srivastava, Anil Yadav, Sumit Dev Goswami, Sumit Sinha, Sonu Sahu, Chandan Kumar, Durgesh Singh, Vaibhav Srivastav, Suraj Kumar, Vikas Kumar Singh, Ranvir Singh, Sashi Oraon, Md. Anis, Amit Sharma, Santosh Sahu, Bheem Manjhi, Supradip Ghosh, Bulan Mandal, Manju Herenj, Pinki Choudhary, Anjana Deogam, Usha Sabina Deogam and Samir Mahato.

Yuva member Md Wahid set a record of sorts when he donated blood today. He had completed18 years of age only yesterday and today he donated blood showing his zeal for this noble social act. Yuva members saluted his spirit and said that it is youth like him who will build a great future for this country.

It may be mentioned that any person below 18 years of age is not allowed to donate blood.
